‼️SAINTS WEEKLY ATHLETIC UPDATE‼️

🏐Girls Volleyball won two thrilling matches last week! To start, they played JSerra. Each set was tight and went to five. In the fifth, the girls found an extra gear to pull away and win the game! Their next game was at San Juan Hills. After going down two sets to none, the girls rallied and pulled off the reverse sweep! Both teams are in the top 10 in Orange County.

🏈Girls’ Flag Football had a busy week playing five games. They started well, defeating South Hills 20-6 before falling to Mission Viejo in a defensive game 6-12. The Saints bounced back and again played tough defense to win 7-6. Over the weekend, they played their round robin games at Colony, going 1-1.

🏈Football defeated Mira Costa 31-10 to start the season 2-0! The Saints offense scored on their first possession and didn’t look back. The offense moved the ball well and put the game to rest in the fourth quarter. The defense pressured Mira Costa the entire game, forcing the Mustangs out of their comfort zone.

🤽‍♂️Boys Water Polo lost their only game against Uni during the week. It was a tight match where the Trojans came out on top. Over the weekend, they played in the Long Beach Poly Tournament. It was a great opportunity to play against some top teams from LA. The Saints lost their three games but competed hard and held on to the end.

‼️SAINTS ATHLETIC UPDATE‼️

🏈Football won their first game of the season! It was a great night in Saints Stadium as the Saints hosted Loyola. The Saints defense stifled Loyola all game, allowing only six points. The Saints offense was humming, scoring on their first three possessions. The Saints won the game 31-6.

🏈Girls Flag Football was 2-1 last week. They lost to St. Margaret’s early in the week but bounced back against Dana Hills and Rosary. Against both teams, the Saints defense stymied the opponents offense and didn’t allow a single point in either win! The offense moved the ball and scored points in each game, winning 26-0 against Dana Hills and 13-0 against Rosary.

🏐Girls Volleyball won their only game of the week. After a close first set, the Saints rallied back to win the next three. The fourth set was a nailbiter, going back and forth, but the Saints won 27-25. The weekend before, the girls competed in the Portola tournament and emerged as champions, winning all five games!
